Although our members
work other than school games, it is our first priority. The regulatory body
of all Junior and Senior High school sports in the State of Washington is the Washington Interscholastic Activities
Association (WIAA). Their responsibility
is to see that students are participating under the safest conditions
possible and within the rules and regulations of the respective sport. The
officials work directly through the Washington
Officials Association (WOA) and are a vital part in
seeing that these conditions prevail. The WOA, an associate member of WIAA,
has a direct working relationship with the WIAA. Executive Board through
the officials Advisory Board, Official Representative Assembly and the Fee
Review Committee.
